If you are interested in a kitten please fill out the adoption application and email it to

After completing the application you are welcome to visit the kittens in their foster homes or at any of the adoption events.  After the adoption process the cat(s) will be delivered to you so that we can see the home environment and ensure the best match between cat and family.

Please note that we are all volunteers with our own full-time jobs and do the work with the kitties in our spare time.  For that reason, we do not adopt kitties to people outside of Austin and the suburbs near North Austin.  The areas include: Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Leander, Georgetown, Lakeway, and Pflugerville. Please see gray areas in the map at the bottom of this page.  This restriction allows us to have time to do deliveries, follow-up vaccines, and any other follow-up visits that are required.  We appreciate your understanding.

We are not able to place kittens with people under 21 years of age, college undergraduate students, and families with live-in children under school age.

Adoption Donation

We ask for a donation to help us pay for the minimum vet services that we provide for each kitty in the first year.  This, as are all donations, is completely tax deductible.  The following services are performed on each kitty.

          De-Worming - $10

          Combo Test - $30

          Spay/neuter surgery - $70

          Microchiping  - $10

          First year vaccines

          Rabies  - $15

FVRCP (vaccinates for FVR, calcivirus, and panleukopenia) - $20

Other expenses include formula and food, vet visits for sick kittens, and medications.  See the Donations page for more details.

All kittens are tested for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia).  We do this at a fairly high cost (considering that litters typically have three to four kittens), but want to do the best by you and the kittens.

Kittens that are too young for surgery will be adopted under a pre-paid spay/neuter contract with the owner agreeing to take the cat to Animal Trustees of Austin for surgery on the appointed date.  This is also when the rabies vaccination and microchipping are performed.

Our Guarantee

Although it is rare, if an adoption is not working out within the first month, Purrfect Pals will take back the kitty and fully refund the adoption donation.  After that time we will ALWAYS accept our cats back, however the adoption donation is non-refundable.  We require the return of all adopted cats if the adopter’s situation changes and the cat needs to be re-homed.  Our guarantee is we will either take back our foster kitties or help you find a good home for it.  We also require the adopter to NEVER surrender the cat to a shelter.
